Meet the Owners
David built a career in IT, specializing in Messaging & Collaboration with a strong background in Data Center Operations. Starting in the mainframe world, he expanded into Networking, Identity & Access Management, and beyond.
Always taking on new projects, David stays busy with woodworking, pond building, candle making, and stained glass. He loves the outdoors: camping, biking, and hiking. Raised in Eastern Ohio near Amish country, he feels most at home in nature but is no stranger to city life.
With Anthony’s hospitality background, running the cabins comes naturally. At home, he enjoys time with their four miniature dachshunds: Floppy, Dottie, Scotty, and Poppie.
David and Anthony met in May 2021 and were engaged less than a year later when David proposed at the first-ever Golden Girls conference, perfect for Anthony, a devoted fan. They married in October 2023 and soon began searching for a business of their own. After exploring campgrounds, B&Bs, and cabins, they found The Woods Cabins in June 2024. A visit in July confirmed it was the right fit, and by November, just before Thanksgiving, they left Pittsburgh to start their new adventure.

- We wash all linens including comforters, shams and towels after every guest visit.
- All cabins have their own exterior entrance as well as separate outdoor seating areas.
- Every surface in your cabin is cleaned before you arrive.
The Woods Cabin Policies & FAQ’s:
- CHECK-IN: CHECK-IN IS AT 3:00 PM OR AFTER. We will send a text with the door code and the specific parking instructions for your cabin. The phone number you provide is what we use. We have NO Check-In Office, please go directly to your cabin.
- CHECK-OUT: Is 10AM. Just send us a text when you leave and please remember to grab your jackets, coats, hats, glasses, charging devices, cell phones, food, etc…. We will leave you a Grab N’ Go Bag the morning of your check-out just prior to 9:00 AM. It will be hanging on the hook just outside your door. If you will be leaving earlier, please let us know so we may get you your bag earlier. In the winter we try to deliver this as close to 9:00 as possible so as to avoid anything from freezing.
- DEPOSIT: A deposit of one night’s stay is required at the time of reservation, including applicable taxes. The remaining balance is due upon check in. We will use the card on file to complete the balance of your stay unless you specify differently. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Debit Cards. Cash is accepted for the purchase of our signature mugs, otherwise cash/checks are not accepted.
- REFUNDS: Refund of the deposit less a $50 cancellation fee will be made if a cancellation notice is received 15 days before your arrival date. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 15 days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. A charge of $50 will be applied for all cancellations.
- RESCHEDULING: If you need to cancel, we do provide the opportunity to move your reservation to a new date in the future, as long as it is within 1 year. If the reschedule occurs 8-14 days from the check-in date, there is a $100 rescheduling fee. If the reschedule occurs 1-7 days from the check-in date, there is a $200 rescheduling fee. In the event that we are able to rebook your cabin once the dates are freed up, we will refund you this rescheduling fee.
- PARKING: Each cabin can accommodate only one vehicle with the exception of the Walnut Cabin. If you are staying in the Walnut cabin and will be bringing two vehicles, please let us know so that we can show you where to park the 2nd vehicle.
- TRAILERS: If you are bringing a trailer, such as a small bike/motorcycle trailer, some cabins can accommodate this, however; some cannot. Please contact us prior to your stay so we can advise where to park your trailer.
- LOW CLEARANCE VEHICLES: IMPORTANT!! If you are bringing an extremely low clearance vehicle, such as a newer model Corvette, parking is not an issue at the Aspen, Maple or Walnut cabins. Parking can be difficult for this type of vehicle at the Magnolia and Willow cabin’s due to the steep incline of the driveway and low clearance at the entrance. If you are bringing a vehicle like this, we can have you park next to the owner’s home but will need to know this ahead of time. Please advise us of this ahead of your arrival to ensure we can accommodate you.
- ROOM OCCUPANCY: All cabins have a maximum occupancy of 2 adults with the exception of the Walnut cabin which hosts up to 4 adults. If you wish to bring an additional person, this must be discussed with the property owner first, and an additional charge may apply. Infants do not require special attention, however; please note we do not have cribs or play pens. Each room has a King Bed.
PLEASE NOTE: If you exceed occupancy without prior arrangement, we may ask you to leave as this may violate fire codes and/or our occupancy permit. A refund will not be granted if this situation occurs. If we are able to accommodate you, there may be an addition charge to cover the added expense. - MAKEUP TOWELS: If you are wearing makeup and wish to remove it, PLEASE use our dark blue Makeup Towels. These have our logo embroidered on them and MAKEUP stitched on them. It is extremely difficult to get lipstick and other makeup out of white towels. Please help us keep costs down by not using white towels for makeup removal.
- TOWELS: Please note, as part of providing you with a luxurious experience, we buy only the best towels which have a very high thread count. Please only use the white bath towels for washing/drying yourself.
PLEASE DO NOT use them to wash/dry dishes, remove makeup, cleanup dog urine/waste, or wash/dry your dog. If you need more kitchen towels for doing the dishes/cooking food, please let us know and we will supply you with extra. If you need a towel for washing/drying your dog, please let us know and we will provide you with dark towels suitable for this type of use.
Please Note: If we should find that you have used our towels in a way that result in damage and/or stains/dirt/makeup which can’t be removed, we will need to charge you a replacement fee for a replacement towel. The charge for a replacement towel is $30.00. - CHILDREN: Please note that The Woods Cabins is a quiet, serene getaway for couples and we do not have areas outside for children to play.
- SMOKING: We allow smoking and vaping on the porches and outside on our property. Please do not smoke or vape inside the cabins. It’s very difficult to get the smell removed before the next guest. We ask that you do not smoke in the Gazebo as ashes will foul up the hot tub water resulting in a full cleaning.
- PETS: Dogs are welcome at The Woods (no cats, pigs or goats). A $75 one-time, non-refundable (cleaning) fee is charged for each cabin. If you are bringing 2 dogs, the one-time pet fee will be $150. Our pet weight limit is 60 pounds. A single larger dog is allowed, or if you have small dogs, we can accommodate 2 depending on the size of your dog. If your pet is left alone in your cabin, your dog MUST be in a crate to protect your pet as well as if we need to access your cabin while you are away. Please let us know if you want to borrow a crate as we have several sizes. Complimentary waste pick-up bags are provided at the pet station, and a waste can for easy disposal.
- Please Note: You are responsible for always keeping your dog on a leash when outside your cabin. This is to protect your dog from another which may harm it, as well as to ensure your dog does not harm another dog or person.**
- Damage: Any damages caused by your dog are your responsibility and will be charged to your credit card. We will contact you first before applying any charges to discuss any damage.**
- HOT TUB: The hot tub is available 24/7 and is shared on the property with all 5 cabins. Clean towels and ice-cold bottled water are provided at the Gazebo along with a towel warmer for those cold nights! The hot tub is available to guests of The Woods Cabins only and no outside guests unless approved by the property owner in advance.
